The State Patrol reports that several people sustained injury in a Jefferson County crash on January 23. Jaden Glenn, 24, of Chester West Virginia was operating a vehicle south on State Route 7 when he drove off the roadway and crossed over the concrete barrier into the northbound land, striking several vehicles.
Tonya Hall, 39, of Negley, Ohio was heading northbound on SR 7 when her vehicle was struck head-on. She sustained serious injury and was transported to Trinity West for treatment. A second vehicle, driven Robert Hill, Jr., 52, of East Liverpool, Ohio was also struck by Glenn. Hill was transported to UPMC in Pittsburgh for treatment of suspected injury.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there were 1,862,225 motor vehicle crashes in Ohio in 2023. The Patrol also reports that 6,150 people suffered serious injury due to crashes on Ohio roadways in 2023. The Patrol defines serious injury as an injury that requires medical attention and or hospitalization.
