The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office reports that a January 25th crash led to several people being injured and two local women sustaining serious injury. Roberta Steiger, 57, of Kingston was heading south on Tarlton-Adelphi Rd. when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle heading west on South Perry Rd. The driver of the west bound vehicle, Michelle Guess 52, of Logan was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
Steiger and Guess were transported by EMS to Grant Hospital in Columbus for treatment of serious injury. Morgan Steiger, 13, of Logan was transported to Fairfield Medical Center for treatment of suspected minor injury. Bernard Steiger, 58, of Kingston was not injured in the crash.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there were 1,862,225 motor vehicle crashes in Ohio in 2023. The Patrol also reports that 6,150 people suffered serious injury due to crashes on Ohio roadways in 2023. The Patrol defines serious injury as an injury that requires medical attention and or hospitalization.
