PIONEER COUPLE SERIOUSLY INJURED IN FULTON COUNTY CRASH

The State Patrol reports that a Pioneer Couple sustained injury in a January 17th crash in Fulton County.  Bobby and Sandra Ramey of Pioneer were heading westbound on US 20 when their vehicle was hit broadside.  Kimberly Scaffe 42, of Blissfield Michigan was heading south when she ran the stop sign on CR 1 and struck the Ramey vehicle.

Bobby Ellis was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.  Sandra Ramey and Kimberly Scaffe were transported to Toledo Hospital with suspected minor injury.  Scaffe was cited by the Patrol for failure to yield at a stop sign.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there were 1,862,225 motor vehicle crashes in Ohio in 2023.  The Patrol also reports that 6,150 people suffered serious injury due to crashes on Ohio roadways in 2023.  The Patrol defines serious injury as an injury that requires medical attention and or hospitalization.
