FAIRFIELD MANE SEERIOUSLY INJURED IN BUTLER COUNTY CRASH

Corey Douglas, 24, of Fairfield Ohio was seriously injured in a motor vehicle crash on January 15th, according to the Ohio State Patrol. Douglas was southbound on Cincinnati-Dayton Rd and attempted to turn left onto the entrance ramp to I-75.  Anupam Chakraborty, 43, was operating his vehicle northbound on Cincinnati Dayton Rd when he failed to stop at a red light and struck the Douglas vehicle.  Chakraborty was charged with a red light violation.   Douglas was transported to UC West Chester Hospital with serious injuries.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there were 1,862,225 motor vehicle crashes in Ohio in 2023.  The Patrol also reports that 6,150 people suffered serious injury due to crashes on Ohio roadways in 2022.  The Patrol defines serious injury as an injury that requires medical attention and or hospitalization.
