DELAWARE COUNTY CRASH LEADS TO FATALITY AND NUMEROUS SERIOUS INJURIES

According to the Delaware County Highway Patrol a multi-vehicle collision on January 12th resulted in a fatality and serious injuries.  Michael Duncan, 35, of Richmond Heights, Ohio was killed in the crash and Jacen Jeremay, 19, of Milan Ohio was seriously injured in the crash. Also seriously injured in the collision were Shannon Webb-Safekow, 8, Keeley Safekow, 10, of Berlin Heights Ohio and Gavin Odell, 19, of Milan Ohio.  All four were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

According to the Patrol, Ranner Canelon Mendoza, 32, of Columbus Ohio was operating a motor vehicle northbound on I-71 when he made an unsafe lane change, striking the northbound Duncan vehicle.  Duncan’s vehicle was forced of the left side of the highway, and it struck the southbound vehicle being operated by Jeremay.
