ORRVILLE MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED IN WAYNE COUNTY TRUCKING CRASH

The State Patrol reports that an Orrville man was seriously injured in a trucking accident crash in Wayne County on February 13th. Kaleb Kiss was operating a commercial truck eastbound on US 30 when his truck was struck by a southbound SUV on TR 153. The southbound operator, Paige Smith, 19, of Dalton was cited by the Patrol for failure to yield.

Mr. Kiss was transported by Kidron EMS to Aultman Hospital in Canton for treatment of serious injury. Ms. Smith was transported by Dalton EMS to Aultman Hospital in Orrville for treatment of minor injury.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there were 1,862,225 motor vehicle crashes in Ohio in 2023. The Patrol also reports that 6,150 people suffered serious injury due to crashes on Ohio roadways in 2023. The Patrol defines serious injury as an injury that requires medical attention and or hospitalization.
