GRAFTON FAMILY SERIOUSLY INJURED IN LORAIN COUNTY CRASH

A Grafton family sustained serious injuries in a recent Lorain County crash, according to the Ohio State Patrol. Thomas Hon, 36 and his passengers Kaylie Hon, 35, and Elliana Hon, 1, all of Grafton were injured in a February 7th crash in Lorain County. The Hon family was travelling northbound on SR 57 when a vehicle turned left in front of them from Glendalough Ave. The Patrol reports that Mary Skeens, 87, of Grafton failed to yield from a stop sign.

The occupants of both vehicles were transported to University Hospital in Elyria. Kaylie Hon and Mary Skeens suffered serious injuries in the crash and Thomas and Elliana Hon suffered minor injuries according to the Patrol.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there were 1,862,225 motor vehicle crashes in Ohio in 2023. The Patrol also reports that 6,150 people suffered serious injury due to crashes on Ohio roadways in 2023. The Patrol defines serious injury as an injury that requires medical attention and or hospitalization.
