The State Patrol reports that a Pomeroy woman was seriously injured in an Ashland County crash on February 4th. Tiffany Sanders, 42, of Pomeroy was travelling northwest on US 33 when a southeast bound SUV struck her vehicle head-on. Christina Miller, 39, of Middleport was cited by the Patrol for driving left of center.
Ms. Sanders was transported to by Athens County EMS to O’Bleness Hospital for treatment of serious injury. Ms. Miller was treated at the scene for possible minor injury.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there were 1,862,225 motor vehicle crashes in Ohio in 2023. The Patrol also reports that 6,150 people suffered serious injury due to crashes on Ohio roadways in 2023. The Patrol defines serious injury as an injury that requires medical attention and or hospitalization.
