A January 29th two car crash in Sandusky County has resulted in multiple people being injured and taken to local hospitals. Leah Liskai, 25, of Woodville drove her vehicle from a private drive onto US 20 and attempted to make a u-turn into a crossover. Her car collided with a vehicle heading eastbound on US 20. That vehicle was being operated by Crystal Bean, 37, of Toledo. Liskai was cited by the State Patrol for failure to yield.
Liskai suffered minor injury and was transported y Life-Flight to St. Vincent’s Hospital for treatment. Bean was treated for minor injury at the scene.
Four passengers in the vehicles were transported by Life-Flight to St. Vincent’s Hospital. Jaymie French, 34, of Defiance was seriously injured in the crash. The remaining three passengers suffered minor injury according to the Patrol.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there were 1,862,225 motor vehicle crashes in Ohio in 2023. The Patrol also reports that 6,150 people suffered serious injury due to crashes on Ohio roadways in 2023. The Patrol defines serious injury as an injury that requires medical attention and or hospitalization.
